Leads

Leads represent prospective customers who have shown interest but haven't yet become contacts. Every lead moves through a status pipeline and can be converted to a contact with one click.

The Leads List

Go to Leads in the sidebar. The table shows name, email, phone, source, assigned user, status badge, follow-up date, and action buttons.

Filtering and Searching

  • Search — filter by name or email
  • Status filter — click a status tab to show only leads in that state
  • Overdue badge — a red/amber badge appears on leads whose follow-up date has passed

Creating a Lead

Click New Lead (top right):

Editing a Lead

Click Edit on any row. Change status, reassign, or update the follow-up date.

Follow-up Dates

Setting a follow-up date puts the lead on your radar:

  • Today — the Dashboard "Follow-ups Due" card counts it
  • Overdue — the lead row shows a red badge in the list
  • Upcoming — amber badge 1–2 days before the date

Update the follow-up date each time you take action on the lead.

Lead Notes

Open a lead's detail page. The Notes panel works the same as contact notes — add timestamped notes visible to all team members.

Converting a Lead to a Contact

When a lead is ready to become a Contact:

  1. Open the lead detail page or click the Convert button in the list
  2. Click Convert to Contact
  3. Mini CRM splits the name into first/last, creates a new Contact with the lead's email and phone, and sets the lead status to Converted

TIP

You cannot convert a lead that is already converted or marked as Lost.

Deleting a Lead

Deleted leads go to Leads Trash. They can be restored at any time.
